ABOUT ZYMICA
Khalid Barazanji, Ph.D.
Founder & CEO
ZYMICA LLC was founded by Khalid Barazanji, Ph.D. in 2015 to provide unique consultation services to manufacturers of medical systems on research, development, test, and evaluation (RDT&E) of their products with emphasis on the military and civilian en route care markets including airworthiness testing. Dr. Barazanji was the Chief of Enroute Care and Airworthiness Division at the U.S. Army Aeromedical Research Laboratory (USAARL). He led the efforts in 2001 for establishing the first military Airworthiness Certification requirements for carry-on medical devices. Under his oversight, the Joint Enroute Care Equipment Test Standard (JECETS) was developed,
With over 21 years of experience in military medical RDT&E and after leaving government service in 2015, Dr. Barazanji has successfully assisted numerous medical device companies with their RDT&E efforts. Additionally, he is on the advisory board of several medical device companies. ZYMICA is located In Enterprise, Alabama (15 min drive to Fort Rucker, Alabama).
Dr. Barazanji is the recipient of the NATO Scientific Achievement Award in 2014 for his contribution to HFM-184 STO Task Group on “Safe Ride Standards for Patient Evacuation Using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs)”. He is also the recipient of the “Order of Aeromedical Merit” in 2007 by The Society of United States Army Flight Surgeons.

Vice President
Karl Kaliebe joined Zymica in 2020 as Vice President to lead strategic marketing and sales channels in promoting medical technologies to military and international clientele. With over 20 years of executive and leadership experience within life science and medical research sectors, Karl interacts directly with technology companies to establish partnerships for medical and health/wellness products. Activities include assisting client management to execute strategic planning, international marketing efforts and negotiations with foreign distributors.
